with 30 years experience in community economic development, business development,
renewable resource management, and oil futures hedging.
National Program Leader
on Community-Based Entrepreneurial Development, USDA Cooperative State Research,
Education and Extension Service (CSREES), Washington, DC. Served in a one year
joint appointment in 2002 with Lightstone Community Development Corporation to
develop a new national initiative for community-based entrepreneurial development.
Co-developed and co-led national workshops, conferences and public-private partnerships
to strengthen the entrepreneurial development capacity of rural communities.

corporate clients. Designed and organized a national virtual search conference on
New American Communities, involving over 200 national policy-makers and practitioners
to exchange best practices and policy recommendations for USDA/CSREES to support
community-based entrepreneurial development.
